How to make journalling a habit that sticks

I have a complicated relationship with journalling.

It's something I enjoy, but I've never been able to make it stick.

There's the journal I wrote at 15 while on student exchange in France, which documents my teenage angst and an odd obsession with the Paris Metro.

Then there's the journal I kept when I was in and out of hospital at the age of 20. I still find it difficult to read.

There were others too, each filled with three or four entries and abandoned after my initial rush of inspiration dissipated.

This year, I wanted to try to give journalling another go — and hopefully make the habit stick. To find out how, I spoke to journalling addict Liana Ulugia and psychologist Jo Wintle.
